Dr. Marios is a distinguished Ocularist, Anaplastologist, and Optometrist, as well as a dedicated member of the World Council of Optometry. A third-cycle graduate from the prestigious Sorbonne University’s Faculty of Medicine in France, Dr. Marios has honed his expertise in maxillofacial and ocular prosthetics. Furthering his specialization, he trained in Anaplastology at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, USA, by the great professor Paul Taner.
In his career, Dr. Marios has led as Chairperson and Professor of the Optics and Vision Science Department at the Modern University of Business and Science (MUBS). Additionally, his innovative contributions include the creation of a unique 3D iris with a hollow pupil and holding three internationally registered patents and multiple eyewear designs.
Notable achievements in his journey include winning the Brilliant Lebanese Award and Business of the Year in 2016, as well as the Eye Wear of the Year award in Tokyo in 2014. Dr. Marios was also twice nominated for Best Children’s Eyewear at Vision-X Dubai. As the Founder and CEO of Doctor Marios - Medical Art Prosthetics clinic, Beirut Center for Limbs and Anaplastology, EYEdeas Smart Optics, and Hakim Optical, he continues to redefine patient care with advanced prosthetic and optical solutions.
